I have been a low income, single mom most of my adult life. Ive never had money to really hire a lawyer. My daughter is now 15 years old when I got a better job to afford things like lawyers and anything else my daughter would need. Firstly, I wanted to hire a white male specifically to represent us against my daughters ‘eastern father’. We got Afnan, an eastern woman. She came across as understanding and competent so I hired her. I hired her in late April 2024, and didn’t receive the proper 13.1 forms until early September. She had me running to the courthouse myself multiple times over the summer for unnecessary paperwork that will never get looked at or useful for anything… Then after filling out the forms, she’s adamant on telling the courts I make significantly more than what I actually make, especially when Ive NEVER made more than $30000 over the 15 years Ive been raising my daughter. Shes insisting I make more than $60000, which has never happened in my lifetime, also considering Ive been working 2 jobs for years to make what I make. Thats the kind of justice and help you can expect from Steven Durbin and Associates. Also, their office is really disorganized and feels like they cant get it together.
